The Seattle Hebrew Academy believes that a well-rounded education includes access to an array of specialties beyond the reading, writing, math and Judaic curriculum. Students learn in different ways and have different interests. A child’s motivation may be piqued through a specialty subject, which may then provide a new access point for more traditional learning. In addition, specialties may be integrated to enrich and extend classroom learning. At SHA, every student receives instruction in Physical Education every week. Kindergarten through Fifth grade students also have weekly instruction in music, art, and library science. Middle School students may choose to access these subjects through the Enrichment Program. Technology is an additional specialty that is integrated into classroom lessons in both the Lower and Middle school in various units throughout the year.
