Students who are 1 year old by August 31
Children this age learn best through active, whole-body, multi- sensory activities, and independent play. In the Hummingbird classroom, celebrating the Jewish year is all about fun! For example, the toddlers may not yet understand the mitzvah of giving Tzedakah, but they know that they love to put the penny in the jar. Love of Judaism precedes understanding, and the way we talk about the holidays with the Hummingbirds is less about the “Why?” and more about the experience.
